Counselling services are often covered by personal insurance policies. We advise each potential client to call their insurance company and inquire about their coverage. Each person's plan can differ in coverage even for individuals working in the same company and/or with the same insurance company. 

Janice Hartley is an approved provider for Veterans Affairs Canada, Health Association of Nova Scotia (HANS), Public Service Commission of Nova Scotia, Non Insured Health Benefits and many others. 

Here is a list of known approved programs and companies. You may still have coverage even if your company's name is not on this list. Please contact your insurance plan to confirm.

Are your services covered by MSI?

No, MSI does not normally cover counselling services in private practice

Can I claim fees for counselling services on my taxes.

Yes, counselling services are able to be claimed as a medical expense.
